The BACLS Biennial Conference
BACLS holds a biennial conference – What Happens Now – committed to sharing and developing scholarship in the field of contemporary literary studies. The conference provides a key networking opportunity for contemporary scholars and offers a forum for supporting practice and pedagogy across the field.
The first BACLS What Happens Now conference will be held in 2018.
What Happens Now will be a roaming event, and institutions with at least one BACLS member are encouraged to apply to host. More information about this process is available in the members’ area of the website.
The BACLS conference is indebted to the work of “What Happens Now: 21st Century Writing in English”, a biennial conference hosted by the University of Lincoln from 2010 to 2016.
Please email BACLS on email@example.com if you have any questions about the conference.
